The Marketing and Communications Unit (MCU) takes the lead in promoting and enhancing the image and reputation of the university through the development and implementation of marketing plans, media and public relations activities, internal communication and corporate identity strategy. MCU has both internal and external clients and delivers services to support them and to promote the overall strategic development of the university.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join our ambitious and high performing team for a fixed-term period of 7 months.
About the role
The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for developing strategy, planning, creating and delivering a range of content across a variety of mediums and formats, designed to attract, engage and convert target UTS audiences. This role will help define the UTS brand story, in addition to developing consistency for the brand’s storytelling. In this role, you’ll lead the development and implementation of content marketing strategy for external audiences. This involves strategies that will increase recognition of UTS’ products, achievements and capabilities to enhance prospects for revenue, funding opportunities and extend the depth of understanding about UTS and widen the impact of UTS’ activities. You’ll also lead a team and develop annual content marketing plans in collaboration with the MCU senior leadership team and provide expert content marketing advice to UTS stakeholders.
With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following three (3) key selection criteria points:
- Demonstrated skills to devise content strategies and create content that is meaningful to customers, that helps solve their problems, using the right channels at the right time, with consideration to SEO.
- Ability to lead content marketing strategy with new ideas and best practice, and continually learn the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions to improve content outcomes.
- Strong strategic planning with the ability to measure, analyse and evaluate performance of content against agreed objectives, and utilise learnings to optimise future content.

Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $110,790-$126,178pa (HEW 8)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

Appointment into this position is fixed-term for 7-months (covering parental leave).
