About the role

Due to a recent promotion in the team, we are currently searching for Orica’s next Lead – Global Marketing Communications. This exciting and rare opportunity will support the Manager – Global Marketing Communications to conceptualise, plan and deliver an integrated marketing communications program that is B2B focused. You will work directly with cross functional global and regional teams to manage the development and implementation of global marketing communication initiatives and provide technical guidance and the delivery of best-in-class market segment and product strategies.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a background in B2B marketing, and have previous exposure or knowledge of mining, industrial and/or services marketing. This is a key role within the team, where exceptional communication, organisational skills and the ability to perform in a demanding, fast paced environment will see you thrive. What you will be doing

• Supports the development and maintenance of Orica’s Global Marketing Communications strategy.

• Supports the development of global marketing communications and brand strategies which support market segment and new blasting product strategies.

• Support the delivery of multi-channel campaigns that include product naming and brand development; fundamentals of product stewardship and the development of content for use in external trade promotion and digital properties.

• Maintains Marketing Communications content and assets across all relevant platforms, including but not limited to website, mobile, sales tools and CRM.

• Contribute to the development of global standards and work collaboratively with regional Marketing Communications and Product Management teams to ensure quality and consistency of campaigns.

• Supports the planning and execution of communications across global trade media and events.

• Proactively develop tools to enhance Orica’s position as the global thought leader in blasting solutions, including conference papers, presentations, white papers and case studies.

• Establish a pipeline of marketing content to ensure timely communication of technology successes and activity through internal and external channel.

• Supports Crisis Management teams and Product Managers with Communications advice and services to protect the Orica brand and effectively communicate with customers and internal audience.

• Participates and contributes to the Global Marketing Communications network and planning processes.

• Supports the implementation and maintenance of digital analytics and other success measures to report on Marketing Communications performance.

• Prepare briefs and manage external providers (digital and design agencies, translation specialists, printers and event specialists)

What you will bring

• The role ideally suited to individuals with a minimum of five (5) years of experience post professional qualification in Marketing or Communications.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications.

• Experience developing and managing marketing communications plans with measurable outcomes in B2B industries.

• Strong project management experience with evidence of results

• Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.

• Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable.

• Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships.

• Financial acumen and budgeting experience.
