The M365 Special Clouds Team is looking for a Product Manager who is obsessed with building a modern engineering system that focuses on industry leading practices and tools to provide autonomous and efficient internet-scale cloud infrastructure.

Cyber-sovereignty is an emerging product area that reflects customer, and in particular government demand for isolated and controlled cloud environments that continue to yield the manageability and feature benefits of the public cloud. Be part of a cross-functional team leveraging Azure and Office to operate the next generation cloud powered by machine learning, extending investments in the world-wide public cloud. Drive prioritized requirements across Microsoft, aligned with M365 larger goals and vision.

Responsibilities

  • This role will support building solutions to monitor various service health indicators and provide insights to minimize incidents and help with early detection, mitigation and resolution.
  • Seize business opportunities and translate pain points into a roadmap of Product investments, breaking down ambiguous and complex problems into a manageable list of epics and features with clearly articulated specs.
  • Be curious, connect data, generate insights, and define experiments to validate or invalidate the hypotheses with results that ultimately lead to the right feature and investment decisions.
  • Closely partner with the Software Engineering, Operations and Data Science teams to land key product capabilities and business goals.
  • Identify critical data and telemetry required to optimize the product functionality, and work with engineering teams to grow the required data footprint.
  • Manage metrics, dashboards, and analytics that track the performance of the product capabilities against the goals and optimize the product functionality to drive the right performance.
  • Perform rich analysis and develop actionable insights using a variety of data sets.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors’ degree BS in a technical discipline (CS, Computer Eng, Electrical Eng).
  • Experience in Product Management that is grounded with deep technical expertise.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets is preferred.
  • Track record of quickly ramping up on new technologies/tech skills and delivering SW products to external customers. Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically about product features, architectures, and capabilities coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Passion and proven record for execution with measurable results; focus on delivering impact.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to clearly articulate technical requirements as well as to contribute to complex design discussions.
  • Strong stakeholder management across orgs and geos/time zones, to drive results.
  • Customer empathy, innovative spirit, strong can-do attitude, and passion for excellence and ability to mine data to help make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
