Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior General Ledger Specialist to join our growing Global India Finance Team. This full-timeposition will be responsible for a broad range of corporate finance responsibilities across the globe, including supporting local financial and accounting reporting, oversight of daily operations for regional entities, assisting with preparing financial statements, tax returns, and more. This individual will report to our GIFT-GL Manager.


  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for the Income statement accounts, such as pass-through, credit card and overheads.
  • Prepare journal entries relating to accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable aging reports, and fixed asset workings.
  • Assist in preparing Month on Month variance analysis for the income statement.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for inter-company accounts and ensure the inter-company balances are correct.
  • Manage journal entries and ensure proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closings.
  • Manage and update the Fixed Assets register.
  • Ongoing maintenance of key finance trackers.
  • Strengthen and grow relationships with internal Finance stakeholders and generally respond to all inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with Financial audits for the entities.
  • Assist with NetSuite projects, clean-up, and maintenance, work with internal Finance teams.
  • Execute global bank account reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of local month-end processes, including the maintenance of the day-to-day journal entries and bookkeeping tasks.
  • Assist with process improvements and automation projects.


  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent working experience required.
  • 4-6 years of accounting/finance experience is required, preferably in a general accounting role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should be flexible to work US hours.
  • Ability to work with a wider global team and across different time zones if required.
  • Tech-savvy, including knowledge of Microsoft Suite and NetSuite
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and juggle a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to take ownership and carry accountability even when working closely with the team.
