The Account Executive role at Microsoft is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about helping customers achieve their digital transformation goals. The Account Executive plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing complex projects that deliver value to the customers and Microsoft. Working with Partners and managing stakeholders are crucial aspects of this role, as they enable the Account Executive to leverage the best resources and solutions for the customer’s needs.

Responsibilities

The Account Executive will be responsible for the following:

Customer Engagement

  • Central point maintaining strong customer relationships and advocates for customers within the organization/Microsoft.
  • Identifies and seizes opportunities throughout the deal lifecycle and AI integration. Leverages a consultative approach, aligning with Microsoft strategies to capitalize on new prospects. Maximizes pipeline conversion aligning with customer goals and Microsoft strategy
  • Negotiating contracts and closing deals that generate high volume sales and revenue growth for both Microsoft and the customer
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers at all levels of the customer’s organization
  • Develops value-proposition presentations (e.g., with the use of business cases) and specialized business plans for customers that drive business outcomes to generate business and upsells. Presents business plans to customers to generate new opportunities.

Account Management

  • Thinks strategically about sales territory for accounts, setting standards and priorities, outlining where to and how to leverage specialized and technical resources and other roles, engaging internal and external decision makers on long-term business planning.
  • Helps existing/new customers to cloud solutions via a cohesive plan across adds, consumption, , through upsell, cosell motions, and renewal maximizing customer business outcomes and experience
  • Leveraging your industry knowledge and Microsoft’s product portfolio to identify and address customer pain points and opportunities

Orchestration & Collaboration

  • Leading and collaborating with a virtual team of technical, sales, and partner resources to design and deliver innovative and tailored solutions that span the three Microsoft Clouds: Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365
  • Driving customer satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy by ensuring successful adoption, usage, and value realization of Microsoft solutions

Maintain Product, Solution and Industry Expertise

  • Proactively builds and maintains a strong knowledge of Microsoft’s product landscape, solutions, and strategy in the industry of assigned accounts, as well as of the business priorities; demonstrates a strong understanding of the customers’ business strategy and the direction of the industry.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications :

  • Sales and negotiation experience OR bachelor’s degree in business management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing (or equivalent) or related field AND sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and deliver customized, customer-focused pitches and solutions.
  • Effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexities related to client management.
  • Embody “we-before-me” and the “customer first” mindset that delivers long term success over short term returns.
  • Growth Mindset. Ability to overcome and work around problems that are inevitable in rapidly growing businesses – positive approach to problem solving, learning, and development.

Fluency In German And English Are Required.

  • Collaborative. Work cohesively with members of the Microsoft sales & services team, Microsoft partners, engineering, and marketing to solve customer and partner issues, leverage best practices, & deliver results.
  • Purposeful Planner & Executor – Delivers business impact with intentional planning, driving clarity to the team with consistent coaching rhythms, removing blockers and ensuring quarterly business budget goals are met.
  • Disciplined Operator – Maintains excellence in pipeline management, forecasting and driving integrated territory and budget achievement planning.

Technical Skills

  • Complex sales training, (extensive presentation skills, effective marketing tactics, negotiation, financial analysis)
  • Knowledge and sales experience of cloud offerings and solutions is preferred

Knowledge and sales experience of line of Business applications, business process consulting or automation, CRM, Employee Performance Management (systems and processes)
