Our business continues to go from strength to strength and we are now in search of a Senior Marketing Manager to run our marketing function across our AU and NZ markets. This individual will play a pivotal role in sustaining our standing as the premier international recruitment consultancy in Australia and New Zealand whilst ensuring our marketing is industry leading.

Operating under the guidance of the Global Marketing Director and in close partnership with the ANZ CEO, the Senior Marketing Manager will be an essential part of both the ANZ and global marketing leadership teams. We are seeking a candidate with strong business and leadership experience, trained in a comprehensive understanding of branding and B2C/B2B marketing that effectively differentiates a company in a competitive landscape and drives revenue growth. You will be responsible for the management of 7 direct reports ( 3 AU, 2 NZ and 2 remote ) who will assist you in delivering the ANZ marketing strategy, spanning, spanning brand, website, SEO, email, content, social, events, PR and sponsorship. Indeed we are currently sponsors of the New Zealand All Blacks so activating this exciting sponsorship is a key responsibility within the role.

The ability to cultivate strong relationships across the organization and apply influence to drive favourable outcomes is central.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the ANZ CEO and other internal stakeholders to discover insights that inform the development of marketing and branding strategies setting Robert Walters apart, seizing market share, and driving revenue.
  • Uphold a resilient brand presence by delivering an innovative brand strategy, primarily focused on B2C marketing, that effectively distinguishes us in a market with a shortage of candidates.
  • Amplify revenue from the Robert Walters website through an imaginative and pioneering digital strategy.
  • Launch strategic partnerships and sponsorships tailored to key audiences, seamlessly aligned with our globally recognized brand. Examples could include associations with New Zealand rugby or the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
  • Develop an industry leading thought leadership strategy that allows us to generate leads from new clients whilst generating PR coverage.
  • Lead and manage the annual marketing budget and activity planning for each business unit, meticulously aligning them with the overarching business strategy.
  • Present quarterly reports on crucial performance metrics, encompassing market research, competitor analyses, campaign outcomes, and industry trends.
  • Steer the Robert Walters brand and website both internally and externally, with the aim of enhancing brand visibility to attract candidates and clients.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering an environment that encourages diverse voices and innovative ideas.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience within an international company, ideally spanning both Australia and New Zealand.
  • The confidence to challenge prevailing norms, articulate insights, and inject innovative perspectives into the marketing function.
  • The ability to establish a commanding presence and exert influence as an integral member of the ANZ leadership team.
  • A proven track record of cultivating intricate relationships, supported by the stature required to function as a business partner, driving optimal results for the broader marketing team and the organization.
  • An outstanding ability to foster a constructive team culture and environment, marked by empathy, care, coaching, and inclusivity.
  • A demonstrated history of delivering tangible marketing campaigns that drive revenue growth.
