We are currently seeking a dynamic Translator with native fluency in Chinese Traditional and excellent command of English based in Ireland. By joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to translate mobile games and game-related content for players of games enjoyed by millions of people worldwide.
Tasks:
- Translation and cultural adaptation of game texts from English to Chinese Traditional (character dialogues, narrative, menu texts, descriptions of elements and functions)
- Meeting requirements for translation quality, speed, and deadlines
- Post-editing machine translation
- Interaction with editors, development teams, and other translators in the department
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date documentation for the assigned project (at least for 1 project): glossary in memoQ, articles and style guides in the Knowledge Base
- Handling feedback on the quality of translations
Requirements:
- Native fluency in Chinese Traditional, both written and spoken
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- A background in linguistics, translation, and/or localization is preferred
- Gaming experience and interest in mobile technology
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Critical thinking, creativity, commitment to quality
